Icon of the Seas Deck 11 Deck Plan
Read the Deck 11 plan from front to back. The bow curves around a row of Ocean View rooms with windows, which the plan marks as obstructed views, with a block of Interior Plus and Spacious Interior rooms behind them. Junior Suites line both outer sides of the front section.
Past the forward elevators, long rows of Spacious Infinite Ocean View Balconies run down both outer sides of the ship. On the inside, facing Central Park, are the Central Park balconies, 11179 to 11257 on one side and 11579 to 11657 on the other.
Behind the aft elevators, the inside rooms turn to face Surfside. That’s where you’ll find the Surfside Family Suites and Surfside Family View Balconies, with the Family Infinite Ocean View Balconies along the outer sides. The deck ends with six suites across the back of the ship: two Sunset Corner Suites and four Sunset Suites.
Central Park Balconies on Deck 11
Deck 11 has 66 Spacious Infinite Central Park View Balconies, the middle of the three decks with infinite park balconies (Decks 10, 11 and 12). Most sleep 3. Six of them sleep 4: 11179, 11251, 11255, 11579, 11653 and 11657.
An “infinite” balcony is built into the room. Push a button, and the top panel of the floor-to-ceiling window slides down, so the lower glass works like a balcony railing and the room opens to the fresh air. There’s no ocean view from these rooms; you look across the trees to the rooms on the other side of the park.
Central Park Balconies to Check Before You Book
On Deck 10, guest reviews found a stretch of park balconies right above The Pearl with a partly obstructed view. We haven’t found a report of the same problem on Deck 11, and Royal Caribbean’s plan doesn’t mark those rooms. The plan does mark four Deck 11 park rooms as obstructed views, one at each end of the two rows: 11179, 11579, 11257 and 11657. Reviewers of the park balconies also mention that rooms face each other, so you’ll want the curtains closed at times.
Family Staterooms on Deck 11
Deck 11 has the same family room types as Decks 9 and 10. Here are the ones we look at first:
- Surfside Family Suite: sleeps 4 (2 adults and 2 kids), with a kids’ nook that has a sofa bed, a split bathroom and a balcony over Surfside. Deck 11 has 14 of them: 11293, 11297, 11301, 11305, 11309, 11315 and 11317 on one side, and 11693, 11697, 11701, 11705, 11709, 11715 and 11717 on the other. Suite 11293 is the only accessible Surfside Family Suite on the ship.
- Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony: sleeps up to 6, with a separate bunk alcove for the kids and a balcony that faces the ocean. Deck 11 has 26 of them, the even numbers from 11292 to 11316 and from 11692 to 11716, marked “5+” on the plan.
- Surfside Family View Balcony: a balcony room that faces into Surfside, so you can watch the splash pad from your room. Deck 11 has 24.
One change to know: for sailings on or after May 2, 2026, Royal Caribbean moved the Surfside Family Suites from Sky Class to Sea Class. They no longer include the Suite Lounge, the suite concierge, The Grove, included Wi-Fi, or breakfast and lunch at Coastal Kitchen, though dinner at Coastal Kitchen stays.
Suites and Other Staterooms on Deck 11
The 22 Junior Suites run along both sides near the front of the deck, 11130 to 11160 and 11530 to 11560. Each sleeps 4 and has a balcony. Most sources list them as Sea Class Junior Suites, with perks like priority boarding and dinner at Coastal Kitchen, but a few list them as Sky Junior Suites, so we confirm the category for the exact room when we book.
At the very back, Deck 11 has six Sky Class suites in a row. The two Sunset Corner Suites, 11352 and 11752, wrap their balconies around the corners of the ship. Between them sit four Sunset Suites, 11354, 11356, 11754 and 11756, with balconies that face the wake. Icon has only six Sunset Suites, and the other two are on Deck 9. All six suites on Deck 11 sleep 4.
Sky Class includes a suite concierge, the Suite Lounge, The Grove sun deck, all-day dining at Coastal Kitchen and internet for each guest.
Connecting and Accessible Staterooms on Deck 11
A small curved arrow between two rooms on the plan marks a connecting pair, and Deck 11 has many of them. On Icon, the pair shares a private foyer in front of both doors rather than a door between the rooms, so you can close the foyer off from the hallway and leave both room doors open. For a family of five or six, two connecting rooms can be a good alternative to one crowded family room.
Deck 11 has eight wheelchair-accessible staterooms: 11162 and 11562, both Spacious Infinite Ocean View Balconies; 11179, 11579 and 11611, all Central Park balconies; 11293, a Surfside Family Suite; and 11426 and 11438, both interior rooms.
Quietest and Noisiest Cabins on Deck 11
Deck 10 below is all staterooms, and Deck 12 above is staterooms plus the lower level of the Vitality Spa at the front. So the noise question on Deck 11 is about what you look down on. Guest reviews suggest families without kids skip the rooms at the back from 11293 to 11347 and 11693 to 11747, including the ones that face the ocean, because sound from the pools carries up.
Here’s the quick version:
- Best for young families: the Surfside-facing rooms at the back, close to the splash pad.
- Our quieter pick: the outside balcony rows in the middle of the ship, which face the ocean, not the park or Surfside.
- Check the view: the bow window rooms, Junior Suites 11160 and 11560, balconies 11162 and 11562, and park rooms 11179, 11579, 11257 and 11657 are marked on the plan as obstructed views.
- Watch the elevator lobbies: rooms right beside the forward and aft elevators get more hallway traffic.
Is Deck 11 a Good Deck for Families?
Yes, Deck 11 is a strong deck for families on Icon of the Seas. It has Surfside Family Suites, family balconies that sleep 6, Central Park balconies and connecting rooms, plus six Sky Class suites at the back for grandparents who want more room. Light sleepers should stick to the outside balconies in the middle of the deck.

Frequently Asked Questions About Icon of the Seas Deck 11
What is on Deck 11 of Icon of the Seas?
Deck 11 on Icon of the Seas is a stateroom deck with 403 rooms, numbered 11100 to 11756, and no restaurants or pools. Midship, 66 inside rooms have balconies over Central Park on Deck 8. At the back, 14 Surfside Family Suites and 24 Surfside Family View Balconies look down on Surfside, and six Sky Class suites line the stern. What that means for your family: one deck can hold the kids, the parents and the grandparents, each in a room type that fits.
Where are the Sunset Suites on Icon of the Seas?
The Sunset Suites on Icon of the Seas are at the very back of the ship, and four of the six are on Deck 11: 11354, 11356, 11754 and 11756. The other two are on Deck 9. Each sleeps 4, with a balcony that faces the wake, and they’re Sky Class, so they include the Suite Lounge, a concierge and all-day Coastal Kitchen. Here’s what I tell grandparents: if you want a quiet balcony for sunset while the family stays nearby, ask about these early, since there are so few.
Which Central Park balconies on Deck 11 have obstructed views?
On Icon of the Seas Deck 11, Royal Caribbean’s deck plan marks four Central Park balconies as obstructed views: 11179, 11579, 11257 and 11657, one at each end of the two park rows. We haven’t found a report of Deck 10’s problem, park balconies right above The Pearl with a partly obstructed view, on Deck 11. Park rooms face each other, so you’ll want the curtains closed at times. The truth is, two park rooms a few doors apart can feel different, so ask your advisor to check the exact number.
What is the difference between a Surfside Family Suite and a Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony?
A Surfside Family Suite on Icon of the Seas sleeps 4, with a kids’ nook, a split bathroom and a balcony over Surfside. A Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony sleeps up to 6, with a bunk alcove and a balcony that faces the ocean. Deck 11 has 14 of the suites and 26 of the family balconies. In fact, the choice usually comes down to two things: how many people share the room, and whether you’d rather watch the splash pad or the sea.
Are the Surfside-facing rooms on Deck 11 noisy?
The rooms at the back of Icon of the Seas Deck 11, 11293 to 11347 and 11693 to 11747, sit four decks above the pools and splash pad on Deck 7, and guest reviews say you’ll likely hear the pool area, even from the ones that face the ocean. They include all 14 Surfside Family Suites on the deck. For families with young kids, that view is the whole point. The simple test I use: if your grandkids will be in the splash pad all afternoon anyway, a little pool noise is part of the fun.
Are there accessible cabins on Deck 11 of Icon of the Seas?
Yes, Icon of the Seas Deck 11 has 8 wheelchair-accessible staterooms: 11162 and 11562, both Spacious Infinite Ocean View Balconies; 11179, 11579 and 11611, all Central Park balconies; 11293, the ship’s only accessible Surfside Family Suite; and 11426 and 11438, both interior rooms. Royal Caribbean’s deck plan marks them with a wheelchair symbol. If anyone in your group uses a wheelchair or a scooter, tell your advisor at the start, since these rooms can go early.
