Universal Hotels with FREE Unlimited Express Passes:
More Rides, Less Waiting

Skip the regular lines again and again at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Three hotels include the pass for every registered guest, and one night covers two full park days.

The Quick Answer

Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel are the only Universal Orlando hotels that include FREE Unlimited Express Passes. Every registered guest gets one for both check-in day and check-out day at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, plus Early Park Admission up to an hour before the general public. Park tickets are sold separately, and the perk does not cover Epic Universe or Volcano Bay.

Which Universal Hotels Include Free Unlimited Express Pass?

While staying at one of the participating hotels listed below, you’ll be able to enjoy all of the amenities that come with them, too!

Please note: Sapphire Falls Resort and Helios Grand Hotel are Signature Universal resorts but do not include the free Unlimited Express Passes. The perk also covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only, not Epic Universe or Volcano Bay.

So, How Do I Get Free Express Passes?

Book with Favorite Grampy Travels, that’s how! Stay at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, or Loews Royal Pacific Resort and Unlimited Express Passes are included for every registered guest in your room, on both your check-in day and your check-out day. Bought separately, these passes can cost up to $389.99 per person, per day. Booking just one night can save your group thousands while giving you faster access to the rides you love.

Plus, you’ll enjoy complimentary transportation throughout the resort and Early Park Admission, exclusive entry to the parks up to an hour before the general public. It’s the smartest and most magical way to experience Universal Orlando.

The Express Pass Room: How One Night Pays for Itself

Here’s the part most families miss. Your passes work on both your check-in day and your check-out day. Book one night, check in early, and your room key is an Unlimited Express Pass for two full park days, for everyone registered in your room. We call it the Express Pass Room, and it’s often cheaper than buying the passes by themselves.

Real example, priced August 1, 2026: Thanksgiving weekend, family of four, Unlimited Express Passes at $265 per person, per day versus one night at Loews Portofino Bay at $730 for November 27, 2026, with 2-day park tickets purchased separately. That’s $1,390 kept in your pocket, about 66% less than buying passes alone. Savings are biggest on peak and holiday dates and narrow in slower seasons. Run your own dates through our free Universal Express Pass Calculator, which compares live room rates against real pass prices, or watch nightly rates on our Universal Orlando Hotel Rate Tracker.

Perks of Select Signature Resorts

Before You Book: The Fine Print

  • Park tickets are separate. The Express Pass skips lines at participating attractions; it doesn’t get you through the gate, and a rare headliner ride may not take Express.
  • Epic Universe, Volcano Bay, and separately ticketed events are not included. The hotel perk covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only, and it doesn’t apply during separately ticketed events like Halloween Horror Nights.
  • Registered guests only. Passes cover the people registered to your room (standard rooms sleep up to 5) and can’t be transferred.
  • A few extras aren’t included. Budget for hotel self-parking (roughly $35 to $42 per night) and extra-adult fees (about $55 per night for each adult beyond two in the room).
  • Savings vary by season. Peak dates mean huge savings. Value season means a smaller gap. We’ll run the numbers for your exact dates before you book.
  • Sapphire Falls and Helios Grand don’t include it. Only Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, and Portofino Bay do.

Universal Express Pass Hotel FAQs

Which Universal Orlando hotels include free Unlimited Express Pass?

Three Universal Orlando hotels include free Unlimited Express Passes: Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, confirmed on the official Loews Hotels benefits page. Every registered guest gets a pass worth up to $389.99 per person, per day, per Universal’s own posted range. The truth is, this one perk is why I send so many families to these three hotels first. Even one night can beat buying passes outright, and you get the pools, the water taxis, and Early Park Admission thrown in.

Your hotel room key card works as your Universal Express Unlimited pass at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, valid from check-in day through park close on check-out day. If you’ve heard families call it a Universal fast pass, this is that, included with your room. One night gets your family two full days of line skipping, plus Early Park Admission up to an hour before regular guests. What that means for your family: check in early on day one, go straight to the parks, and don’t stop riding until day two ends. My advisors at Favorite Grampy Travels plan arrival timing so you don’t waste a single Express hour.

No. The free Unlimited Express Pass from Loews Royal Pacific, Hard Rock Hotel, and Loews Portofino Bay covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure only, and excludes both Epic Universe and Volcano Bay. It also doesn’t apply during separately ticketed events like Halloween Horror Nights. In fact, Epic Universe Express Passes are a separate purchase entirely, and they sell on their own calendar. If Epic is on your family’s must-do list, we’ll build it into your trip as its own day with its own strategy, so nobody stands at the wrong gate wondering why the key card won’t scan.

Yes. Every guest registered to the room receives an Unlimited Express Pass for the length of the stay, and standard rooms at these hotels sleep up to 5 people. The passes are non-transferable, so they only work for the people actually on the reservation. This is where the real value shows up for bigger crews: five passes at top pricing could top $1,900 per day if you bought them, which usually costs more than the room itself. Larger family? We’ll price a second room and split the group.

Yes, park admission tickets are always required and sold separately; the Express Pass only lets you skip the regular lines once you’re inside. The simple test I tell people: the ticket opens the gate, the pass shortens the wait. Budget for 2-day park-to-park tickets if you want to ride the Hogwarts Express between the two parks, then let your hotel stay handle the Express side. My team bundles tickets and your Express Pass Room together so the pieces actually line up with your dates.

No. Sapphire Falls Resort and Helios Grand Hotel do not include free Unlimited Express Passes, even though both are Signature Universal resorts. Only Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, and Portofino Bay carry the perk. What’s actually happening is that Universal reserves this benefit for three of its Signature hotels, and plenty of families find out at check-in, after it’s too late. Before you book anywhere on Universal property, let us double-check that the perk you’re counting on actually comes with your hotel.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort is usually the cheapest Universal hotel that includes free Unlimited Express Passes, typically running $50 to $140 a night below Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Portofino Bay depending on the season. What that means for your family: if the goal is maximum Express Pass value for the fewest dollars, Royal Pacific is the first place we price. Rates move daily, so check our Universal Orlando Hotel Rate Tracker for the lowest current nightly rates at all three hotels, or let us run your exact dates.

Yes, booking a Universal hotel for the Express Pass is usually worth it on busy dates. Priced August 1, 2026: Unlimited Express Passes for a family of four over Thanksgiving weekend cost $2,120 bought separately ($265 per person, per day for two days), while one night at Loews Portofino Bay for the same dates was $730, a $1,390 difference, with the hotel night, Early Park Admission, and resort amenities included. The truth is, the math flips in slower seasons when pass prices drop, so run your own dates through our calculator or have my advisors at Favorite Grampy Travels price both routes before you decide.
