Grinchmas 2026 at Universal Orlando runs November 14, 2026 through January 3, 2027, a 51-day season inside Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure, and it is included with regular park admission. Universal Studios Hollywood has not announced its 2026 Grinchmas dates; last year it ran November 24 through January 4, 42 days, and the announcement came on October 14.

The Orlando dates come straight from Universal Orlando’s 2026 holiday announcement, which also brings holiday decor to Epic Universe for the first time. For families planning around school breaks, that means Thanksgiving week, the three weeks before Christmas, and New Year’s week all fall inside the season.

Show times are the one thing you cannot book around yet. What Time Is the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular?

Universal has not posted the 2026 show times, and it will not until the season opens on November 14. In recent seasons the show ran about eight times a day, with the first performance mid-morning and the last in early evening, and each show runs about 25 minutes.

Here is why that matters for planning. The first show of the day has had the shortest line by a wide margin, so a family that walks into Islands of Adventure at rope drop and heads straight to Seuss Landing usually gets seats without a wait.

In addition, the Universal Holiday Tour includes reserved seating for the show, along with a private Grinch meet and greet and a Santa meet, for a price that begins at $69.99 per person plus tax. The show itself is a live retelling of How the Grinch Stole Christmas with music recorded by Mannheim Steamroller. It is gentle enough for preschoolers and clever enough that the grandparents laugh in the right places.

What Time Is Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s?

Last season the parade stepped off at 5:30 p.m. every night of the season in Universal Studios Florida, ran about 30 minutes through New York and Production Central, and ended with Santa lighting the park’s Christmas tree. Universal has not published the 2026 start time; check the app the morning of your visit.

Meanwhile, the parade runs on every night of the season, not just weekends, so a Tuesday in early December gets the same balloons and floats as a Saturday in late December. That is the single biggest scheduling advantage Universal has over the ticketed holiday parties down the road.

For example, a family that spends the morning at Islands of Adventure for Grinchmas can take the Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios Florida after lunch and be on the curb by 5 p.m. On a peak night, claim your spot 30 to 45 minutes early, because the New York section fills first.

Also, weather can cancel or shorten the parade, and Universal does not issue refunds for it since it is included with admission. On a rainy evening, the Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle projection show in Hogsmeade usually still runs from dusk.

Alternatively, the Whos wander Seuss Landing all day for photos, and the Who-ville Tree Lot returns for 2026. Those two things have no line at all, which is where I send families with toddlers who will not last 60 minutes in a queue.

In fact, the surest way to skip the Grinch line is the Universal Holiday Tour, which builds in a private meet with the Grinch and with Max or the Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast, which guarantees a photo opportunity with the green thing himself. For a family of four the tour is roughly $280 plus tax on top of park tickets, and the breakfast was about $184 plus tax last season for two adults and two kids, so either one makes the most sense on a peak date when the standby line is longest.

Even so, most families do fine with a plan. Check the first Grinch set of the day in the app, be in Seuss Landing at park opening, and do the meet before the first show.

What Are the Grinchmas 2026 Dates at Universal Studios Hollywood?

Universal Studios Hollywood has not announced its 2026 Grinchmas dates. Last year, Universal announced on October 14, 2025 that Grinchmas would run daily from Monday, November 24, 2025 through Sunday, January 4, 2026, so mid-October 2026 is the window to watch.

Hollywood’s version is compact and happens in Universal Plaza in the middle of the park. A 65-foot Grinchmas tree stands at the center of Who-ville, and nightly tree-lighting ceremonies end with cascading snow, which ran several times each evening last season.

Beyond the tree, families get photos with the Grinch and Max, story time with Cindy-Lou Who, a Who-ville post office for postcards, and a Who-inspired singing quartet. As a result, Hollywood fits a family already visiting Los Angeles far better than a family flying in for Grinchmas alone. Orlando’s version, with the stage show, the parade and the character breakfast, is the one worth building a trip around.
