How Does Epic Universe Celebrate Christmas in 2026?
Christmas at Epic Universe runs every day from November 14, 2026 through January 3, 2027, and it’s included with an Epic Universe ticket. This is the park’s second holiday season, so Celestial Park and the Ministry of Magic are returning favorites.
What’s new for 2026 is that SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and Isle of Berk join in for the first time. That puts holiday plans in four of the park’s five worlds. Isle of Berk calls its celebration Snoggletog, and Universal hasn’t mentioned Dark Universe at all.
My call for a family planning a December trip is to give Epic Universe one full day and to skip Mondays. Our crowd calendar forecasts a level 8 out of 10 for every Monday from November 16 through December 14, and a 5 for the opening weekend.
The table below shows each world’s 2026 holiday status at a glance, and our Epic Universe guide covers the rides and heights.
| World | 2026 Holiday Status | First Time in 2026? | What Universal Has Said |
|---|---|---|---|

What Are the Key Facts About Christmas at Epic Universe?
How long does the 2026 holiday season last at Epic Universe?
The 2026 holiday season runs 51 days, from Saturday, November 14, 2026 through Sunday, January 3, 2027, at Epic Universe and Universal Orlando’s other two theme parks.
How many Epic Universe worlds have holiday plans in 2026?
Four of the five worlds have announced holiday plans, and two of them, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and Isle of Berk, are celebrating for the first time.
Which day of the week is forecast to be busiest at Epic Universe this holiday season?
Mondays. The Favorite Grampy Travels crowd calendar forecasts every Monday from November 16 through December 14 at level 8 out of 10 at Epic Universe.
What’s New for the Holidays at Epic Universe in 2026?

Two worlds celebrate for the first time this year. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD adds colorful holiday decor and holiday-themed food, and Universal says favorite characters will be part of it. Isle of Berk brings Snoggletog, the Viking winter holiday from the How to Train Your Dragon stories.
Universal also added something after its August 6 holiday announcement. Its Epic Universe holidays page now promises a New Year’s Eve celebration in the park, with details still to come.
Here’s a correction if you’ve read other guides. 2026 isn’t Epic Universe’s first Christmas. Celestial Park and the Ministry of Magic were decorated for the 2025 season, and Universal’s own release says Celestial Park “returns” this year.
For families who went last December, the two new worlds are reason enough to go back, especially with kids who love Mario or Toothless. If you skipped Epic last year, this is the better season to see it, since you’ll get all four holiday worlds in one day.
What Does Celestial Park Look Like at Christmas?

Celestial Park is the hub you walk through to reach every other world, so it’s the decor your family will see most. Universal’s holidays page describes a space-themed winter wonderland, with the park’s tree-lined walkways strung with lights.
The centerpiece is a holiday version of the Cosmos Fountain show, the big water display in the middle of the park. Universal hasn’t posted show times, so you’ll want the Universal Orlando Resort app once the season opens on November 14.
There’s also a shop that keeps Christmas all year. North Star Wintry Wonders in Celestial Park sells holiday ornaments and gifts 12 months a year, which makes it an easy stop for an ornament to take home.
See Celestial Park twice: once when you arrive, and again after sunset, when the lights do their best work. Our Celestial Park guide covers the rides and dining.
What Is Christmas Like in the Ministry of Magic?

The Ministry of Magic is Epic Universe’s Wizarding World land, set in 1920s Paris, and it’s back in holiday dress for a second year. Universal says wizarding Paris will be decked out for Christmas, with festive lights and holiday entertainment at select locations.
It’s part of Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which runs across all three of Universal Orlando’s theme parks. That means Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida get the holiday treatment too.
What Universal hasn’t said is which holiday treats or drinks the Ministry of Magic will serve this year, or when the entertainment runs. We’ll add the 2026 menu here when Universal publishes it.
Got room for only one Wizarding World land? I’d pick Hogsmeade for a first-timer and the Ministry of Magic for a Potter fan who’s already seen Hogsmeade. Our Ministry of Magic guide explains the land and its big ride.
What Changes in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD for the Holidays?

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD opened with Epic Universe in May 2025, and 2026 brings its first holiday celebration in Orlando. Universal has confirmed holiday decor and themed food for the land, plus appearances by favorite characters. It hasn’t released pictures or a menu yet.
We’ll update this post once Universal posts the menu and character schedule.
Start your Epic day here if your kids are 3 to 9. Character meets and the land’s rides get busier as the day goes on, and a holiday morning in this land is calmer than a holiday afternoon.
The land has three rides: Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure and Mine-Cart Madness. Yoshi’s Adventure is the gentle one for younger riders, so check the height requirements before you set your family’s list. Our SUPER NINTENDO WORLD guide walks first-timers through all three, plus the Power-Up Band.
What Is Snoggletog at Isle of Berk?

Snoggletog is the Viking winter holiday from the How to Train Your Dragon stories, and 2026 is the first year Isle of Berk celebrates it. Universal has confirmed festive decor, seasonal food and drinks, and new merchandise for the land.
That’s a short list. Universal hasn’t named the dishes yet, and it hasn’t said whether the land’s characters will dress for the season.
Isle of Berk already works well for families with little ones, thanks to the Viking Training Camp play area and the Fyre Drill boat ride. Snoggletog gives you a holiday reason to linger.
Choosing between a holiday stop at Isle of Berk or Dark Universe with kids under 8? Pick Isle of Berk. It’s the one with a holiday plan, and it’s the gentler of the two worlds.
Is Dark Universe Decorated for Christmas?

Dark Universe has no announced holiday plans for 2026. It isn’t in the August 6 press release, and it isn’t on Universal’s Epic Universe holidays page as of November 6, 2026.
You may find videos from last December showing holiday trees in a few Darkmoor shops. I can’t confirm any of that for this year, so I wouldn’t plan a holiday stop around it.
That still leaves four of the park’s five worlds with announced holiday plans, which is plenty for a one-day visit. If decor matters to your crew, treat Dark Universe as a regular stop and spend your holiday time in the other four.
If Universal adds Dark Universe plans before or after opening day on November 14, we’ll update this section. Until then, plan your Epic holiday day around Celestial Park, the Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and Isle of Berk.
Is Christmas at Epic Universe Included With Admission?

Yes. Universal says its holiday offerings are included with a theme park ticket or annual pass, though blockout dates may apply to some passes. There’s no separate holiday ticket at Epic Universe.
Keep in mind that Epic Universe is its own park. A 1-day park-to-park ticket for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure doesn’t include it, so your tickets need to cover an Epic Universe day. Epic tickets are sold by date, and the busiest dates can sell out.
The price swings a lot by date. Our Universal Orlando ticket price tracker showed a 1-day Epic Universe adult ticket at $139.99 to $209.99 before tax across the holiday season. Those are prices as of November 6, 2026.
Two adults and two kids ages 3 to 9 would pay $549.96 on Wednesday, December 2, and $835.96 on December 26. If your dates are flexible, that’s $286 your family keeps by choosing December 2, so check the tracker before you lock in dates.
Which December Days Are Least Crowded at Epic Universe?

Our Universal Orlando crowd calendar forecasts every day on a 1 to 10 scale, built from past wait times and our seasonal model. For Epic Universe, the calmest holiday days in the forecast are the opening weekend, November 14 and 15, at level 5.
Level 6 is next best. That covers November 20 to 22 and November 29, plus Wednesdays, December 2 and 9. The busy stretch starts December 18, and Epic sits at level 10 every day from December 24 through December 31.
The pattern to plan around is Mondays. Every Monday from November 16 through December 14 is a level 8 at Epic, while Universal Studios Florida sits at 6 or 7 on the same days. On Saturdays it flips, and Epic runs one level below Universal Studios Florida every Saturday from November 21 through December 12.
If your dates can move, Wednesday, December 2 looks like the best Epic day of the season, with a level 6 forecast and the season-low $139.99 adult ticket. Otherwise, put Epic on a weekend day and save your Mondays for the other two parks. These are forecasts, so weigh them against your family’s schedule.
Should You Buy Christmas Week Epic Tickets Now?
When Christmas week is your only window, buy your Epic Universe tickets now. Last year, 1-day Epic tickets for December 26 through 31 were already sold out by late July. The last two weeks of December stayed mostly sold out right through the holidays.
This year, there’s still time. Our ticket price tracker showed every holiday date on sale as of November 6, with Christmas week at $209.99 for adults. I wouldn’t count on that lasting.
You don’t want to fly all the way to Orlando and then miss Epic because your day sold out. It’s phenomenal, so lock in your Epic day as soon as your dates are set.
Want Epic Universe, Grinchmas and the parade spread across the right days?
Plan My Holiday Universal TripHow Do You Fit Epic Universe Into a Universal Holiday Trip?

Universal’s three big holiday traditions live in three different places. Grinchmas is in Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure, the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s runs nightly at Universal Studios Florida, and Epic Universe has its own celebration.
For a three-day trip, I’d give Epic Universe one day and split a second day between the other two parks. Spend the afternoon at Islands of Adventure for Grinchmas, then cross to Universal Studios Florida for the parade. Keep the third day for repeats.
The split day needs a park-to-park ticket, since Grinchmas and the parade sit in different parks. A Monday or Tuesday in early December fits it well: both parks sit at level 6 on our calendar on December 1, 7 and 8.
Our Universal Studios Orlando holiday guide covers Grinchmas and the parade in one place. Read it next if this is your family’s first Universal Christmas. If your kids want to see the new Earl the Squirrel parade balloon, make your parade night a December one, since Universal says Earl joins the lineup in early December.
What Do Families Ask About Christmas at Epic Universe?

Yes. Four of its five worlds have holiday plans for 2026: Celestial Park, the Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and Isle of Berk. Universal hasn’t announced anything for Dark Universe.

It starts Saturday, November 14, 2026 and ends Sunday, January 3, 2027. That’s a 51-day run, the same as Universal’s other two theme parks.
Do Epic Universe tickets sell out at Christmas?
They did last year. 1-day Epic Universe tickets for December 26 through 31, 2025 were sold out by late July. As of November 6, 2026, every 2026 holiday date was still on sale, so buy early if Christmas week is your window.
