Which CityWalk Quick-Service Counters Are Worth Your Money?
The best quick-service meals at Universal CityWalk Orlando come from Fat One’s, Bend the Bao, and Bread Box. Moe’s Southwest Grill, Panda Express, and Red Oven Pizza Bakery round out six main meal counters.
None of them takes a reservation, and none needs a park ticket. Universal’s current CityWalk map marks five of the six in its lowest price tier, and Red Oven is the exception.
In fact, a seventh counter is close. Five Guys is taking over the old Burger King Whopper Bar space, and Universal has not set an opening date yet.
I wrote this for the parents and grandparents who plan Universal trips with Favorite Grampy Travels. It is one piece of my Universal CityWalk Orlando guide. Doughnuts, shakes, and ice cream live in my CityWalk snacks guide.

CityWalk Quick-Service Quick Facts
How many quick-service restaurants are at Universal CityWalk?
Universal CityWalk Orlando has six main quick-service meal counters open in September 2026: Fat One’s, Bend the Bao, Bread Box, Red Oven Pizza Bakery, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Panda Express. Five Guys is coming soon.
Do CityWalk quick-service restaurants take reservations?
No. Quick-service counters at CityWalk do not take reservations. Universal says mobile food ordering in the Universal Orlando app works at CityWalk, so you can skip the line at select counters.
What is the newest quick-service spot at CityWalk?
Fat One’s Hot Dogs & Italian Ice opened on September 19, 2026. It serves 9 signature hot dogs and replaced Hot Dog Hall of Fame.
What Should You Order at Fat One’s Hot Dogs?

Order The Fat One if you want the headline dog. It is a footlong topped with roasted pork, pepperoni, chili beans, and cheddar cheese sauce.
According to Universal Orlando’s press release, the counter opened on September 19, 2026, with 9 gourmet hot dogs. It comes from NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and sits in the old Hot Dog Hall of Fame space.
For adventurous eaters, the Dirty K-Pop Dog adds kimchi slaw and spicy gochujang mayo. The Brazilian swaps in a grilled linguica sausage with Calabrian honey.
Meanwhile, kids have easier choices. FOX 35 Orlando reported that Johnny’s Pizza dog comes with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni. The To-Ny keeps it simple with sauerkraut and mustard, and The Vegan is fully plant-based.
That said, The Fat One is a lot of hot dog. I would split one between two kids and add the loaded pop fries.
Is Red Oven Pizza Bakery Good for Families?

Yes, Red Oven is one of the best family meals in CityWalk. Our whole family ate there after a day in the parks, and we loved it.
We ordered pizzas and a Caesar salad, and the portions were generous. When rain rolled in, plastic curtains came down around the patio and kept us dry. It was a warm, perfect end to a night at the park.
Universal’s pizza guide says each pie bakes in a 900-degree stone-lined oven. Kids love the Big Eye Pepperoni and its oversized pepperoni rings.
For grown-ups, the Margherita comes with fresh buffalo mozzarella and basil.
Here is why I flagged it in the table. Universal’s CityWalk guide lists Red Oven with the quick-service spots. Its map, though, files Red Oven with the sit-down restaurants at $15 to $30 per adult.
Of course, a whole pizza feeds more than one child. With two small kids, I would share one pie and a Caesar salad.
What Is Bend the Bao, and What Should You Order?

Bend the Bao serves soft steamed bao buns stuffed with Asian-style fillings. Order the Kimchee Fried Chicken Bao, which Universal’s CityWalk guide singles out as the one to try.
Beyond that, the Beef Brisket Bao is a good second pick. One of Universal’s own writers says it is just the right amount of food for one person.
In addition, the counter serves boba drinks. In January 2025, Universal added a Winter Melon and Strawberry Tea Lemonade with boba for Lunar New Year. Check the board for the current flavors.
Bao buns are hand-held and small, which makes them good for tweens and teens who want something new. For a 6-year-old, I would keep a plain option nearby.
On top of that, Bend the Bao sits in Universal’s lowest map price tier. Two bao and a boba tea make a light dinner before a movie at the Cinemark.
What Are the Best Sandwiches at Bread Box?

Bread Box makes cold and toasted sandwiches, and it is my pick for a lighter lunch. Universal’s CityWalk guide calls it a sandwich-lover’s paradise.
The standout is the Hot Vegan Sandwich. It stacks portobello, avocado, caramelized onions, pepper jack, truffle oil, and basil pesto on multi-grain bread, according to Universal Orlando’s CityWalk guide.
Better still, meat eaters have plenty of choices. The menu covers classic deli sandwiches, pressed Cubans, and hot melts, plus a grilled four-cheese that works well for kids.
Even better, one Universal insider calls Bread Box a great spot for lunch or a pit stop after Halloween Horror Nights. It sits in the lowest price tier on Universal’s map.
With picky eaters, I would order a grilled cheese for the kids and a Hot Vegan for the adults. It is the lightest lunch in the lineup.
Want every meal of your Universal trip mapped out before you land?
Plan My Universal MealsAre Moe’s and Panda Express Worth It at CityWalk?
Yes, when you have a picky eater or a tired family. Moe’s Southwest Grill and Panda Express serve the same menus kids already know from home.
Moe’s builds burritos, tacos, salads, nachos, burrito bowls, and quesadillas to order. Universal’s guide also points to the chips and salsa. Because every item is built in front of you, a child can say no to anything green.
For example, Panda Express covers orange chicken, rice, egg rolls, and everything in between. Universal describes the meals as freshly made and Asian-inspired.
Both counters sit in the lowest price tier on Universal’s map. Even so, I would not make either one my first CityWalk meal.
Most families can eat Panda or Moe’s at a mall back home. Save these two for the night everyone is worn out, and try Fat One’s or Bend the Bao while you are fresh.
When Will Five Guys Open at CityWalk?

Universal has not announced an opening date for Five Guys as of September 24, 2026. Signs of staff training point to an opening soon.
As FOX 35 Orlando reported in April, Burger King Whopper Bar closed on April 21, 2026, to make room for Five Guys. Universal originally pointed to summer 2026.
Five Guys already appears as number 22 on Universal’s CityWalk map, in the lowest price tier. Signage spotted at the site mentions late hours during Halloween Horror Nights, which runs through November 1, 2026. The space sits on the upper level of CityWalk, across from Bread Box.
Until it opens, burgers at CityWalk mean a sit-down meal, such as The Cowfish. I will update this guide the day Five Guys serves its first burger.
- Five Guys will take over the former Burger King Whopper Bar space
- Five Guys appears on Universal’s current CityWalk map
- Fat One’s opened September 19, 2026, in the former Hot Dog Hall of Fame space
- An opening date for Five Guys
- Regular operating hours for Five Guys
How Do You Save Time and Money on CityWalk Quick-Service Meals?

Plan your quick-service meal for after 6 p.m. on a regular night. Self-parking costs $35 by day and is free after 6 p.m.
That said, the free window is off on Halloween Horror Nights event nights through November 1, 2026, and on New Year’s Eve. My Universal Orlando parking guide lists every rate and exception.
Next, use the app. Universal says mobile food ordering in the Universal Orlando app works at CityWalk. You pick a counter and a pickup time, then tap that you have arrived.
What’s more, hotel guests can skip the garage entirely. Water taxis run from the Signature hotels, and walking paths and buses serve the rest.
Finally, eat before the dinner rush. I would aim for about 4:30 p.m. with little ones, when lines are short and tables along the water are easy to find.

Do You Need a Park Ticket to Eat Quick Service at CityWalk?
No. CityWalk has no gate and no admission charge, so every quick-service counter is open to anyone. You only pass through security screening on the way in.
The only cost before your first bite is parking. Self-parking at the main garage runs $35 by day and is free after 6 p.m. on regular nights.
Families staying at a Universal hotel can walk or take a water taxi and skip parking altogether.
What Is the Best CityWalk Quick-Service Meal for Kids?
My pick is a shared Big Eye Pepperoni pizza from Red Oven. The pepperoni rings are huge, and one pie feeds two small kids.
For a lower price tier, Johnny’s Pizza dog at Fat One’s gives kids pizza flavor on a hot dog. Picky eaters also do well at Moe’s, where they choose every topping, or with a grilled cheese at Bread Box. I would save the Dirty K-Pop Dog and the kimchee bao for tweens and teens.
Which CityWalk Quick-Service Spots Have Vegan Options?
Fat One’s has the clearest vegan pick. The Vegan is a plant-based hot dog with red onion sauce, signature mustard, and relish.
Meanwhile, Bread Box serves a Hot Vegan Sandwich with portobello, avocado, and basil pesto. Universal’s description lists pepper jack, so confirm it is vegan cheese when you order.
For food allergies, tell the team member at the counter before you order. Shared kitchens make cross-contact possible, so ask every time, even at a counter you have used before.
Should You Eat Quick Service or Sit Down at CityWalk?
Eat quick service on arrival night or after a long park day. Book a sit-down meal for a night when you want to slow down.
Quick-service counters need no reservation and serve food in minutes. Sit-down restaurants such as Toothsome and The Cowfish book up on weekends.
My advice is one sit-down dinner per trip and quick service the other nights. An advisor can build that plan for you before you leave home.
How Can a Travel Advisor Help You Plan a Universal Orlando Trip?
