Is EPCOT Food & Wine Good for Kids?

Yes. Food & Wine turns EPCOT into a giant tasting party, and kids fit right in.

According to Disney’s Food & Wine festival page, the festival is included with EPCOT admission and runs August 27 to November 21, 2026. Disney lists 31 Global Marketplaces this year, the festival’s 30th.

The portions are small, so kids can try something new without a full plate going to waste. There is also a Remy scavenger hunt, plenty of mac and cheese, and enough milkshakes to keep any sweet tooth happy.

I wrote this for the parents and grandparents who plan Disney trips with Favorite Grampy Travels. I have eaten my way through every single booth with my grandkids, so consider this advice tested the delicious way.

Before the booth-by-booth picks, here are quick answers to the three questions families ask first.

EPCOT Food & Wine Quick Facts

Is EPCOT Food & Wine included with park admission?
Yes. Disney says the festival is included with valid EPCOT admission. You pay for the food and drinks you buy at each booth.

How many booths are at EPCOT Food & Wine?
Disney’s festival page lists 31 Global Marketplaces for 2026, the festival’s 30th year. Most booths serve a few small plates plus drinks.

Is there a kids’ activity at Food & Wine?
Yes. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak is a scavenger hunt for all ages. The map costs $11.99 plus tax, and kids earn a special prize at the end.

What Is Food & Wine Like with Grandkids?

In our family, Food & Wine is a team sport, and every booth is fair game.

I take the grandkids all the time, and we hit every single one of those 30-plus booths. Our rule is simple: we order one of everything, and everybody shares.

By the time a plate makes it around our circle, each of us gets a bite, if we are lucky. The kids try almost everything, which still makes this Grampy proud. When they wrinkle their noses at something, well, that just leaves more for the grown-ups.

Then, once in a while, the kids find one they love. That is when the feeding frenzy starts, with little hands and forks flying from every direction. In the blink of an eye, the plate is scraped clean and nothing is left but crumbs and giggles.

Which EPCOT Food & Wine Booths Are Best for Kids?

The Wedge, The Fry Basket and Funnel Cake are the easy wins.

Menus and venues change each year, so check the new guide before you go.

What Savory Bites Do Kids Like Most?

Mac and cheese is the safest bet in the whole festival. The Wedge serves a Three-Cheese Macaroni and Cheese, plus crab and corn and cheesesteak versions for bolder eaters.

Meanwhile, The Fry Basket serves yuca fries and a fry flight, and fries win over nearly every child. For something new but gentle, the edamame dumplings at Gyozas of the Galaxy are a nice first step. Order one for the table first, then buy more if the kids go for it.

What Are the Best Sweet Treats for Kids?

Dessert is where kids go wild. The Wedge has a Cannoli Milk Shake, and Festival Favorites serves Frozen S’mores.

Around World Showcase, Mexico has a paleta, Australia serves pavlova, and Germany has apple strudel. The Funnel Cake booth speaks for itself.

What Can Kids Drink at Food & Wine?

Not every booth drink is for grown-ups. China serves a Mango-Peach Bubble Tea, and kids love chasing the little pearls with a straw. Bring refillable water bottles too, since every quick-service spot will give you a cup of ice water.

Favorite Grampy
Favorite Grampy’s Insider Tip Grab a handful of extra forks and napkins at every booth. Splitting one plate five ways goes a lot smoother when every little hand has its own fork. Pack wet wipes too, because powdered sugar finds its way onto everyone.

What Kids’ Activities Are at EPCOT Food & Wine?

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak is the festival’s big kids’ activity.

According to Disney’s Remy scavenger hunt page, the map costs $11.99 plus tax. You can find it at Disney Traders, Creations Shop, festival markets and other select shops, and finishing earns a special prize.

Beyond that, older kids who like cheese can try the Festival Passport. Buy five of the cheese-marked dishes, collect your stamps, then trade the passport at Shimmering Sips for a festival treat.

Disney’s festival page also lists Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit through November 2, 2026. Families who love music can catch the Eat to the Beat concerts at America Gardens Theatre, which are included with admission.

Best of all, none of these activities needs a reservation. Kids can start the Remy hunt whenever they are ready and finish it over two days if they like.

Favorite Grampy
Favorite Grampy’s Insider Tip Buy the Remy map first thing and let the kids lead the way. Hunting for Remy sets the route for you, and every stop along it lands you near another booth to try.

Pick the quietest festival days for your family before you book.

How Much Should a Family Budget for Food & Wine?

That depends on whether you eat like normal people or like Favorite Grampy.

Most booth plates are tapas-sized, and many land somewhere around $5 to $10 each. Your total comes down to four things: how many people you feed, how many days you spend, whether you try everything, and whether grown-up drinks join the party.

Your Food & Wine Style What It Looks Like for a Family of Four Rough Food Budget
The Taste Tester 6 to 8 shared plates and a sweet treat for each child About $50 to $120
The Booth Hopper 15 to 20 shared plates across one full day About $75 to $200
The Favorite Grampy One of everything at every booth, over two or three days About $450 to $900, and up

Swipe left to see all columns on mobile.

Keep in mind that those figures cover food only, for a family of four. Alcohol is extra, and a few rounds of festival sips can outrun the food bill fast.

For the record, the Favorite Grampy row assumes about three food items at each of 31 booths. That is roughly 90 plates. I recommend mapping out your route by picking your favorite in the complementary food and wine booklets.

Whichever row fits your family, set the budget before you arrive. It is much easier to say yes to a second funnel cake when you know it fits the plan.

How Many Days Do You Need for EPCOT Food & Wine?

Plan at least two days to try most of the booths. Please don’t try to be a hero and do them all in one.

With 31 booths spread around the park, one day turns into a food marathon. Little legs get tired, little tummies fill up, and the fun fades long before World Showcase does.

It usually takes our family a couple of days to finish the full tour. We pace it, stop for rides between booths, and save a favorite or two for the second visit.

In fact, spreading it out makes the food taste better. You come back hungry, the kids come back excited, and every booth feels new again.

For a shorter trip, pick one side of the park per day. Do the booths near the front of the park and the first half of World Showcase one day, then finish the rest on the next.

When Is the Best Time to Visit Food & Wine with Kids?

Weekdays are the best time, especially early in the festival or during early November.

Our Walt Disney World crowd calendar shows that October weekends fill up with festival visitors and Halloween party guests. Weekday lunch lines at the booths are easier on everyone.

Late October into early November is one of my family’s favorite times to go. We pair a Food & Wine day with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, then walk into Magic Kingdom as it switches over to Christmas.

Keep the heat in mind, too. Late August and September can still be hot in Orlando, so booth-hopping works best in the morning and evening. By November, the cooler air makes a full afternoon of grazing much more comfortable.

Favorite Grampy’s Insider Tip Pick a weekday for your big booth-hopping day. Our crowd calendar shows October weekends filling up with festival visitors, and shorter booth lines mean happier kids.

Which Other EPCOT Festivals Are Fun for Kids?

Every EPCOT festival has something for kids, so any season can work.

Festival of the Arts brings a paint-by-number mural and an Ink & Find scavenger hunt, according to the Disney Parks Blog’s Festival of the Arts announcement. The 2027 festival runs January 15 to March 1.

Next, Flower & Garden fills the park with giant character topiaries from March 10 to May 31, 2027. Little ones love hunting for their favorite characters in the gardens.

Finally, Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 to December 30, 2026, right after Food & Wine wraps up. Disney’s plans include the Holiday Cookie Stroll, World Showcase storytellers and Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition, a scavenger hunt with a keepsake at the end.

Frequently Asked Questions About EPCOT Food & Wine with Kids

Can Kids Eat at EPCOT Food & Wine Without Paying Full Restaurant Prices?

Yes. The booths serve small, tapas-sized plates, so kids can snack their way around the park instead of sitting down to a full restaurant meal.

That makes Food & Wine a smart way to feed a picky eater. Order a mac and cheese or a plate of fries for the kids, then let the grown-ups try the adventurous dishes.

I would still plan one real meal or a quick-service stop in the middle of the day. Snacking alone can leave little ones cranky by late afternoon.

Is EPCOT Food & Wine Too Crowded for Young Kids?

It can be on weekends, but weekdays are much more relaxed. Our crowd calendar shows October weekends as the busiest stretch of the festival.

For young kids, I would go on a weekday and start early. Booth lines are shorter, the air is cooler, and you can take a ride break whenever someone needs one.

A stroller helps too. It carries tired kids, holds your water bottles, and gives you a spot to set down plates while you share.

Do You Need a Reservation for EPCOT Food & Wine?

No reservation is needed for the festival itself. Disney says it is included with valid EPCOT admission, though a theme park reservation may be required depending on your ticket type.

You simply walk up to any booth and order. Eat to the Beat concerts are also included, with dining packages sold separately for guaranteed seating.

With that in mind, our advisors can check your ticket type and help you pick the best festival days for your family. That way, nobody finds out at the gate that a reservation was needed.

How Can a Travel Advisor Help You Plan an EPCOT Festival Trip?

A festival trip goes best with a plan.

Our advisors at Favorite Grampy Travels bring deep destination expertise to Disney vacation planning. They can match your dates to the festival calendar, pick quieter EPCOT days, and build festival time around rides and rest. They can even pair a Food & Wine day with a Halloween or Christmas party night, so one trip covers two celebrations.

After you book, they also watch prices and can reprice your eligible booking if a lower rate appears. Our planning carries a fee, and the amount depends on your trip.

Your advisor quotes that fee during a complimentary 15-minute consultation, and a fee like that is a normal part of working with a professional. Book your complimentary consultation, or meet the advisors who plan Disney trips for families every week.
