Where Can You Buy Universal Orlando Gift Cards?
You can buy Universal Orlando gift cards from Favorite Grampy Travels. You do not have to book a trip with us to order them. Cards come in six amounts, $25, $50, $100, $150, $250 and $500, and each one is sold at face value, so a $50 card costs $50.
Universal says its gift cards are “redeemable for food, merchandise and so much more” throughout Universal Orlando Resort. They also carry no fees and no expiration date, according to Universal. That makes them an easy gift for parents and grandparents planning a trip for the 2026 holidays or beyond.
One caution while you shop around. Universal says it does not offer electronic gift cards at this time. An e-gift listing you find online is not Universal’s own card, so read its fine print before you buy.

Universal Gift Card Quick Facts
What amounts do Universal gift cards come in?
Favorite Grampy Travels sells six amounts from $25 to $500. Inside the resort, Universal sells and reloads cards in $5 increments up to $500.
Are there any fees on a Universal gift card?
Universal charges no service or dormancy fees on its gift cards. Favorite Grampy Travels sells them at face value, so a $100 card costs $100.
Can you get a Universal gift card by email?
No. Universal does not offer electronic gift cards at this time, so every amount comes as a physical card.
What Can You Buy With a Universal Gift Card?

A Universal gift card pays for food, souvenirs and more across Universal Orlando Resort. Universal’s FAQ lists participating shops and restaurants. Think of it as spending money for the trip, good for a snack at 10 a.m., a souvenir at noon and a treat on the way out, in any amount from $25 to $500.
That said, the cards we sell are not a way to pay for the trip itself. They are not eligible to be redeemed for theme park tickets, vacation packages or hotel stays. They also cannot be used online or traded for cash.
For kids, that still leaves the good stuff. Think a cold Butterbeer, a plush Minion, a dragon T-shirt or an interactive wand from the Wizarding World. A card that runs low can be reloaded in $5 steps at resort locations that sell them.
Does Favorite Grampy Travels Sell Universal Gift Cards?

Yes, Favorite Grampy Travels sells Universal Orlando gift cards. We carry all six amounts, from $25 to $500. A gift-card-only order is sold at face value, and you tell us how many cards you want and the amount for each one on the order form below.
Here is how it works after that. An advisor confirms your total before anything is charged. Your order is handled electronically, so there is nothing to wait for in the mail.
Best of all, pickup is easy. Your family picks up the cards on arrival, at the Vacation Planning desk in your Universal hotel or at a will call window at the park entrance if staying off property.
Order 1 card for a birthday, 4 for the grandkids or 10 for a family reunion. We are a Universal U-Preferred Platinum agency, so a 2-card order gets the same care as a 2-week vacation. We also handle Universal Orlando tickets if you still need those.
Can You Buy Gift Cards If You Booked Your Trip Somewhere Else?

Yes, you can buy gift cards from us if you booked somewhere else. You do not have to book your trip with us. If you already have your tickets and hotel, whether you booked online, by phone or with another agency, we can sell you the gift cards alone.
Of course, plenty of families book months ahead and think about spending money later. Grandparents often are not the ones who booked the trip at all. Either way, a gift-card-only order is welcome here, whether it is 1 card or 10.
One more thing, so nobody is confused: these are Universal’s own gift cards that you choose to buy as a gift for your family. No trustworthy travel agency asks you to pay for a trip with gift cards, and we never will. I cover that in our travel agent questions and answers.
Ready to hand each kid their own Universal spending money?
Order My Gift CardsWhy Should Each Kid Get Their Own Gift Card?

Each kid should get their own card because it puts the choices in their hands. A card of their own turns “Can I have this?” into “Can I afford this?” That one change makes every gift shop calmer, because a child spending a $50 budget thinks harder than a child spending yours.
I gave each of my grandkids a $50 gift card to spend any way they wanted. Just like that, my little big spenders turned into careful shoppers. They had to choose between 1 big prize and a pile of small treasures.
Naturally, Grampy is a softy. When one of them came up a few dollars short on something they really wanted, a little cash found its way across the counter. That is a grandfather’s job.
Even better, the kids learn something along the way. Stretching $50 across a whole trip is a real money lesson. Is it a T-shirt today, or a snack, a pin and a keychain tomorrow?
How Much Should You Put on Each Card?

For most kids, $50 or $100 per child is the sweet spot. In my experience, $50 handles a treat and a small souvenir. A $100 card leaves room for a T-shirt or one bigger keepsake, and for young children I’d skip the $250 and $500 cards altogether.
For example, a big-ticket souvenir can cost more than a $50 card holds. That is where a $100 card, or a soft-hearted grandparent, comes in handy.
Meanwhile, you are not locked in. Universal reloads cards in $5 increments, up to $500, at resort locations that sell them. Those same locations can check a balance for you.
A lost card cannot be replaced, so smaller amounts on separate cards are the safer play. Two cards of $50 beat 1 card of $100 for a young child.
What Should You Know Before You Buy?

Know 4 limits before you order. The cards are physical, and a lost card cannot be replaced. They are also not refundable, cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be used online, so plan on spending them in person at the resort.
Because the cards are picked up at the resort, there is no plastic card to wrap for Christmas morning. I’d print the order confirmation and tuck it into a stocking instead.
Beyond that, this guide covers Universal Orlando Resort in Florida only. Universal Studios Hollywood is a separate resort, so ask your advisor before buying for a California trip.
Even so, for a child who loves to shop, I have not found an easier gift. It fits any budget from $25 to $500, and it never expires. A leftover balance simply waits for the next trip.
Six amounts, face value, and no trip booking needed.

How Do I Buy a Universal Gift Card?
To buy a Universal gift card from Favorite Grampy Travels, families fill out the gift card order form on this page. The form asks for the number of cards and the amount for each, from $25 to $500. An advisor then confirms the total, and each card is sold at face value.
After that, the hard part is over. Your family picks up the cards at the Vacation Planning desk in your Universal hotel or at a will call window at the park entrance if staying off property. I like that there is nothing to track in the mail and nothing to lose before the trip.
Do Universal Gift Cards Expire?
Universal gift cards do not expire, according to Universal Orlando. The cards also carry no service fees and no dormancy fees, so a balance of $5 or $500 stays put. Universal says a used card can even be reloaded or kept as a souvenir.
In practice, that takes the pressure off the kids. A card your grandchild does not finish on this trip is still good on the next one, whether that is in 1 year or 5. I would rather see a child save $12 for next time than spend it on something they do not really want.
Can You Use a Disney Gift Card at Universal Studios?
A Disney gift card cannot be used at Universal Studios. Disney gift cards are for Disney locations, and Universal gift cards are for Universal Orlando Resort. They are 2 separate companies with 2 separate card programs.
Families who visit both on one Orlando trip mix them up all the time. For the Universal days, you need 1 of the 6 Universal card amounts we sell, from $25 to $500. I’d write each child’s name on their card sleeve so the right card comes out at the right park.
Can I Buy Universal Gift Cards From Favorite Grampy Travels If I Booked Elsewhere?
Universal gift cards can be bought from Favorite Grampy Travels even when the trip was booked elsewhere. A family that already has tickets and a hotel can order the gift cards alone. All 6 amounts are available, from $25 to $500, at face value.
That matters most for grandparents, in my experience. You may not have booked the trip, and you may not even be going. You can still order 1 card or 10 and send the kids off with spending money of their own.
What Happens If I Lose a Universal Gift Card?
A lost Universal gift card cannot be replaced, according to Universal Orlando. The same rule applies if a card is stolen or destroyed, so Universal tells guests to treat it like cash. The cards are also not refundable.
That is why I like 2 cards of $50 better than 1 card of $100 for younger kids. A grown-up can also hold the cards between shops and hand them over at the register. It takes 10 seconds and removes the worry.
