What Are the Best Snacks at Universal CityWalk Orlando?

Universal CityWalk Orlando has nine snack and sweet stops, and none of them needs a park ticket or a dinner reservation. Here is what to order at each one, from a grandpa who has made this sweet stop with his own grandkids.

Which CityWalk Snacks Are Worth Your Money?

The best snacks at Universal CityWalk Orlando come from three counters. They are Voodoo Doughnut, the Toothsome milkshake counter, and Fat One’s Italian ice.

Universal’s 2026 CityWalk map and guide show nine snack and sweet stops. The map prices eight of them at under $15 per adult. The ninth is the Toothsome milkshake counter, which belongs to a restaurant in the $15 to $30 tier.

Universal Orlando’s own CityWalk guide lists seven of the nine in its dessert section. Fat One’s, which opened on September 19, 2026, sits in the guide’s quick-service section. Fresh Eats appears only on Universal’s map.

I wrote this snack guide for the parents and grandparents who plan Universal trips with Favorite Grampy Travels. It is one piece of my Universal CityWalk Orlando guide, which covers dining, activities, music, and parking.

Universal CityWalk Snacks Quick Facts

How many snack stops are at Universal CityWalk Orlando?
Universal’s CityWalk map and guide show nine snack and sweet stops in 2026, including Voodoo Doughnut, the Toothsome walk-up milkshake counter, and Fat One’s Italian ice.

How much do snacks cost at CityWalk?
Universal’s CityWalk map prices eight of the nine snack stops at under $15 per adult. The Toothsome milkshake counter belongs to a restaurant in the $15 to $30 tier.

What time does Voodoo Doughnut open at CityWalk?
Voodoo Doughnut opens at 8 a.m. daily, according to the brand’s location page. It closes at midnight on Monday and Tuesday and at 1 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

What Should You Order at Voodoo Doughnut?

Order the Voodoo Doll first. It is a raspberry-filled doughnut with chocolate frosting and a pretzel stake.

Voodoo’s own menu features over 35 doughnuts, including a vegan line. In Universal’s behind-the-scenes look at the shop, Universal says the team turns out 6,000 to 9,000 doughnuts in a single day.

For kids, Universal’s guide calls the Universal Orangesicle a treat sold only at this location. Meanwhile, the Portland Cream, the Grape Ape, and the Bacon Maple Bar are longtime signatures.

Voodoo opens at 8 a.m. daily, per the brand’s location page. Better still, one of Universal’s own writers suggests placing a mobile order in the Universal Orlando app as you walk in.

That said, I wouldn’t bother with a full dozen for a family of four. These doughnuts are big and rich, so one each is plenty before a park day.

Can You Get a Toothsome Milkshake Without a Reservation?

A server is blurred in the background, capturing a joyful moment perfect for any Family Guide. - Favorite Grampy Travels

Yes, you can. Toothsome has a walk-up milkshake counter, so you do not need a table.

Universal’s guide calls the shakes huge and decadent, with plenty of garnishes and toppings. The Heavenly Hazelnut leans on Nutella, and the Cookie Jar comes topped with a whole cookie.

For coffee lovers, the Espresso Buzzzz blends coffee ice cream, espresso, and chocolate espresso beans. In addition, the Right Side Up Shake is vegan, with a pineapple upside-down cake flavor and oat milk whipped topping.

The restaurant turned 10 years old in September 2026, and its chocolate shop shares the building. Even so, this is likely the priciest snack in CityWalk. Toothsome is the only snack stop in the $15 to $30 tier on Universal’s map, so I would split one shake between two kids.

Where Can You Find Ice Cream, Frozen Yogurt, and Italian Ice?

Three CityWalk stops handle frozen treats. They are Fat One’s, Cold Stone Creamery, and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.

What Italian Ice Flavors Does Fat One’s Serve?

Fat One’s scoops Italian ice in six flavors. As FOX 35 Orlando reported, they are Lemon, Cherry, Mango, Tropical, Cotton Candy, and Blue Raspberry.

The counter comes from NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and opened on September 19, 2026. It sits across from Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, in the old Hot Dog Hall of Fame space.

On a 90-degree Florida afternoon, this is the lightest treat in CityWalk. FOX 35 also lists a boozy version for adults.

What Is Cold Stone Creamery Known For?

Cold Stone folds mix-ins into ice cream on a frozen granite stone. Signature Creations such as Birthday Cake Remix and Our Strawberry Blonde take out the guesswork.

In fact, the brand’s store page lists hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday run until 11:45 p.m.

How Does Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt Work?

Menchie’s is self-serve. You take a cup, pick your flavors, and finish at the toppings bar with candy, chocolate, or fresh fruit.

Even better, Menchie’s labels its flavors as vegan, gluten free, no sugar added, and sorbet. The brand’s CityWalk page lists hours of noon to 10 p.m. daily.

Favorite Grampy
Favorite Grampy’s Insider Tip Buy frozen treats last, not first. Do your shopping and your photo at the big Universal globe, then pick up ice cream or Italian ice for the walk back. Florida heat is hard on a cone, so ask for a cup and a spoon for anyone under 6.

Where Are the Best Grab-and-Go Bakery Snacks?

Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s Pretzels are the two grab-and-go bakery stops. Both sit in the under $15 tier on Universal’s map.

What Should You Order at Cinnabon?

Cinnabon bakes its Classic Roll with Makara cinnamon and cream cheese frosting. BonBites are the bite-size version, and they are easier for small hands.

For the hotel room, a CinnaPack boxes up several rolls to go. The brand’s menu also lists Chillatta frozen drinks.

Of course, a Cinnabon here tastes the same as the one at your mall. On a one-night visit, I’d skip it and save my appetite for Voodoo or Toothsome.

What Does Auntie Anne’s Serve at CityWalk?

Auntie Anne’s serves fresh, warm soft pretzels. Universal’s guide singles out the mini pretzel dogs. The brand calls its bite-sized Pretzel Nuggets a snack for when you are on the go.

Of all nine stops, this is the easiest one to eat while walking. That matters when about 10 minutes of moving walkways sit between you and the car.

Where Can You Get Coffee on the Way Into the Parks?

Starbucks is the main coffee stop at CityWalk. The brand’s store locator places it on the lower level.

Universal’s guide points families there for a cup on the way into the theme parks. Both parks, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, sit at the far end of CityWalk.

What’s more, Voodoo Doughnut pours coffee from 8 a.m. too. Universal’s coffee guide notes three flavor choices there: vanilla, caramel, and hazelnut.

Beyond that, Fresh Eats is a grab-and-go kiosk on Universal’s CityWalk map, priced at under $15 per adult. I would treat it as a stop for a cold drink, not a destination.

Favorite Grampy
Favorite Grampy’s Insider Tip Doughnuts for breakfast can save a park morning. Place a Voodoo mobile order while you ride the moving walkways from the garage. Then send one adult to pick up the box while the other walks the kids toward the park gates.

Which CityWalk Snacks Work for Vegan and Allergy Needs?

A display case of gourmet donuts at Universal CityWalk Orlando, featuring a bacon-topped donut, fruit cereal-covered treat, a rectangular donut on a stick, and a Voodoo Doll-shaped donut, each with its own descriptive label. - Favorite Grampy Travels

Voodoo Doughnut is the strongest stop for vegan families. Universal’s vegan and vegetarian guide counts around 13 vegan doughnuts there. Voodoo’s own menu marks each vegan doughnut with a (V).

The Dirt and the Portland Cream are both on the vegan list. The same guide notes that every Voodoo doughnut is vegetarian except the ones with bacon.

On top of that, Menchie’s sorts its flavors under 6 dietary labels and says all of its sorbets are dairy-free. Its vegan flavors rotate and are made with oat, almond, or coconut milk.

For food allergies, tell the team member at the counter before you order. Shared kitchens and toppings bars make cross-contact possible, so ask at all nine stops.

How Do You Plan a Snack Stop at CityWalk?

Plan your snack stop for after 6 p.m. or before the parks open. Daytime self-parking costs $35, and it is free after 6 p.m. on regular nights.

That said, the free window is off on Halloween Horror Nights event nights through November 1, 2026, and on New Year’s Eve. My Universal Orlando parking guide lists every rate and exception.

I have made this sweet stop with my own grandkids. My advice is one signature treat per visit, not three.

For a first visit, I would choose Voodoo Doughnut in the morning or a shared Toothsome shake at night. Save the chains for a rainy afternoon when the kids want a familiar favorite.

Best of all, guests at a Universal hotel can leave the car parked. Water taxis, walking paths, and buses all lead to CityWalk.

Favorite Grampy
Favorite Grampy’s Insider Tip Split the big stuff. One Toothsome shake with two straws, or four doughnuts cut into quarters, lets everyone taste more for less money.

Frequently Asked Questions About Universal CityWalk Snacks

Do You Need a Theme Park Ticket to Get Snacks at CityWalk?

No. CityWalk has no gate and no admission charge, so all nine snack stops are open to anyone.

The only cost before your first bite is parking. Self-parking at the main garage runs $35 by day and is free after 6 p.m. on regular nights.

I tell families staying off-site to treat CityWalk like a dessert district. Come after dinner on a regular night, and let each child pick one treat. My advisors can also build a CityWalk evening into your trip plan.

Which CityWalk Snack Stops Are Open Late?

Of the three stops whose brands post hours, Voodoo Doughnut closes the latest. The brand lists closing times of midnight on Monday and Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Meanwhile, Cold Stone Creamery’s store page shows 11 p.m., or 11:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Menchie’s lists 10 p.m. nightly. That makes a doughnut the safest bet after a late park night or a concert.

I would check the Universal Orlando app for hours on the day you visit. With little ones, I would still wrap up by 9 p.m.

What Is the Best CityWalk Snack for Kids?

My pick is the Voodoo Doll doughnut. It has a funny face, raspberry filling, and a pretzel stake, and Voodoo sits in a lower price tier on Universal’s map than Toothsome.

For a hot afternoon, Cotton Candy or Blue Raspberry Italian ice at Fat One’s is the cooler choice. Picky eaters do well at Auntie Anne’s, where mini pretzel dogs can pass for lunch.

Even so, I would save a full Toothsome shake for kids 8 and older. The shakes are huge, and a 5-year-old will not finish one.

How Can a Travel Advisor Help You Plan a Universal Orlando Trip?

A snack stop is a small thing, but it shapes a trip. The right hotel puts doughnuts a boat ride from your room. The right plan keeps you out of the dinner rush.
