Hello Travelers! I’m Kelley and I live in Washington, D.C. with my husband Peter, and my cat Mocha. I love all kinds of travel from a relaxing beach or mountain resort to a fast-paced city adventure.

My style is somewhere between a packed itinerary and leaving room for those special moments you discover as you explore. My favorite part of travel is often making sure I know what’s special about a location before I go – the landmarks, the food, the nature, the museums!

I’m always working to find the right balance between the must-do experiences and finding those hidden gems that sometimes get overlooked. Even in my own backyard, there are well-known monuments and museums just a stone’s throw away from neighborhoods rich with history that often go unnoticed by tourists. Enjoying both sides of my home city inspires me to find the same balance while traveling.

Favorite Family Vacation Spot – Anywhere along the coast of Mexico

Favorite Adventure Experience – Banff and Jasper National Parks in Albert, Canada. The crystal blue lakes and views along the hikes are incredible.

Favorite Relaxation Destination– I love the Caribbean islands for a relaxing vacation but one of my most favorite relaxation experiences was on St. John. We look a short, very hot hike to a hidden beach. The hike was worth it, as we spent the entire afternoon swimming at a beautiful location with almost no one around.

Favorite Winter Destination– Whistler, Canada! I will never forget snowmobiling through the mountains with a pancake breakfast at the top, as well as zipling over the snowy trees.
