All About Me

Hello, I’m Christy! I have lived in Missouri most of my life. While I grew up on the Kansas City side, for the last 15 years I’ve lived on the St. Louis side with my husband (Ryan), son (Jacob) and daughter (Kyrie), and our 5 cats (Sparkles, Stormy, Oliver, Mabel, & Charli). 

As a family, we love traveling and take a couple trips every year to Universal Orlando, where we are Annual Passholders. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved watching movies and going to the theater—so getting to ‘Ride the Movies’ at Universal has been a dream come true! As our kids have gotten older, our family has focused on experiences and making memories in lieu of buying more things – which is also more fun! 

We made our first trip to Universal when our kids were ages 14 & 4 , and it had the perfect mix of rides and things to do for both ages! Our next trip we taken when our daughter was 10 years old (and our 20-year-old son elected to stay home with the cats) . This trip was the first time we stayed on property, and my husband said it was the best vacation we had ever taken.

That was an ultimate factor in our decision to become Annual Passholders, and since then, I have visited Universal Orlando 9 more times (with plenty of future trips planned too)! 

I love to try something new with every trip to Universal that I make, whether it is a ride I hadn’t experienced before, or a new food, or show, or learning a fun fact. All of my knowledge will be put to good use when I help you plan your trip! 

Universal Orlando Fun Facts: 

• Dr. Seuss never drew straight lines in any of his illustrations, so everything in Seussland is made with curves – no straight lines anywhere! Even the palm trees are curved – they were brought in from areas hit by hurricanes. 
• There are 2 versions of the Grinch you can meet: the cartoon/storybook version is typically available year-round, while the Jim Carrey version is only available during Universal Holidays. 
• The Hogwarts Express train that is located at the entrance of Hogsmeade is an exact replica of the one from the Harry Potter films.
• There are 6 different types of Butterbeer: hot, cold, frozen, soft-serve ice-cream, fudge, and potted cream. Universal occasionally has limited-time releases of other fun items, such as popsicles and caramels!
• Duff Beer, located in the ‘Springfield, USA: Home of the Simpsons’ area, is exclusive only to Universal Orlando, and was taste-tested by the writers of the Simpsons show! 

I have always had a passion for helping people, and planning and organizing. I absolutely love the process of putting together a plan, and the fulfilled result at the end! I have an extensive background in customer service and scheduling/planning. In my day job in Talent Acquisition, I spend my time scheduling candidate interviews and travel. I would love to utilize my skills, knowledge, expertise, and experiences to help plan your vacation.
