A 160-foot yacht built in Croatia in 2020, carrying just 36 guests in 18 ensuite cabins with a crew of 9 to 11. Small enough to tie up in villages the big ships sail past. Large enough that nobody is sharing a bathroom.

Not a cruise ship. Not a sailboat.
The Lastavica sits in a category most people have never sailed. She is one of two custom-built flagships owned by the Stančić family, who have run boats on the Adriatic for more than fifty years. Their naval designer builds for the feel of a private yacht at the scale of a small cruiser.
What that means in practice: your group is the only group aboard. No assigned dining time, no muster drill with two thousand strangers, no fighting for a deck chair. The ship docks in town overnight rather than sailing at night, so your evenings ashore are your own.

The Cabins
All 18 cabins are ensuite and share the same amenities. What separates them is deck, access, light, and size. Here is the honest difference.
CABINS 1 TO 8
Below Deck
The largest cabins on the ship, running up to 17.4 m² (187 sq ft). Inside access with a fixed porthole that does not open. Six of the eight convert between one double bed and two twins; cabins 5 and 6 are double only. If square footage matters more to you than a view, this is where the value is.
CABINS 9 TO 12
Main Deck, Outside
Your own entrance straight off the main deck and a real window that opens, not a porthole. 12.1 to 14.5 m² (130 to 156 sq ft). All four convert between a double and two twins. There are only four of these on the entire ship, and they are the first to go.
CABINS 13 TO 18
Main Deck, Inside
Inside access on the main deck, 12.5 to 14.5 m² (135 to 156 sq ft). Cabins 13 and 14 are twin only. The other four convert between a double and two twins.
Four of these six can take a third small child on a sofa bed, which makes this the family block on the ship.
Traveling with a grandchild? Eight cabins (1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 and 16) have a sofa that converts to a bed for a small child. Ask us about adding one and we will confirm availability and cost for your dates.

Every cabin has a private ensuite bathroom, dual air conditioning and ventilation, a writing desk, chair, lamps, a safe, a hairdryer, a TV, a closet, and under-bed luggage storage. One thing the crew will tell you anyway: the air conditioning shuts off when a door or window is left open.
The Deck Plan
Cabins 1 to 8 are on the lower deck. Cabins 9 to 18 are on the main deck, where 9 through 12 open straight onto the deck.
Life On Board
The ship sails during the day and stays docked overnight, so mornings are for swimming and evenings are yours ashore.
In the Water
Swim stops nearly every day, with the stern tied to shore in a quiet bay when conditions allow. Snorkel gear, stand-up paddleboards, floats, water mats, a water island, and mini Seabobs. The inflatable yacht slide comes out once during the week, sea and weather permitting. Jetski rental is available, ask for details.
On the Sun Deck
Jacuzzi and sauna, both included. A gym with treadmill, stationary bike, weights, resistance bands and yoga mats. An outdoor cinema and a BBQ grill. Sun beds, a horizon bar, and two flying dresses for the kind of photographs people frame.
Indoors
Indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas, a bar, reception, and a VIP room with a large screen and a PlayStation, which tends to matter more to the grandkids than anything else on this page. Board games, cards and a poker set. WiFi throughout, though service varies along the coast.
About the food. Meals are cooked on board by the ship’s own chefs, and menus are built around where the ship is that day. The galley confirms every guest’s allergies and dietary needs before the charter begins, so vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and the common allergies are routine rather than a scramble.

How many cabins does the Lastavica have?
The Lastavica has 18 ensuite cabins and carries a maximum of 36 guests with a crew of 9 to 11. Fourteen cabins can be set up as either one double bed or two twins, two are double only (cabins 5 and 6), and two are twin only (cabins 13 and 14). Cabins 1 to 8 sit on the lower deck and 9 to 18 on the main deck, where cabins 9 to 12 have their own entrance and a window that opens.
How big are the cabins?
Cabins run from 12.1 to 17.4 square meters, roughly 130 to 187 square feet. The largest are on the lower deck, which surprises most people, because lower deck cabins on a ship this size are usually the smallest. Every cabin has a private ensuite bathroom, dual air conditioning, a desk, a safe, a TV, a closet and under-bed luggage storage.
Can a child share our cabin?
Eight of the 18 cabins have a sofa that converts to a bed for a small child: cabins 1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 and 16. That makes the Lastavica workable for grandparents traveling with one grandchild, which is not true of most yachts this size. Ask us before you book, because those eight cabins are limited and cost depends on the sailing.
Does the ship sail at night?
No, and this is the single biggest difference from a large cruise ship. The Lastavica sails during the day and stays docked in port overnight. You are free to have dinner ashore, walk the old town after dark, and come back whenever you like. There is no all-aboard time pulling you back to the ship at five in the afternoon.
Can I choose my cabin number?
Cabins are assigned first come, first served, so we cannot promise a specific number. What we can do is match your preferences: twin beds or a double, lower deck for space or main deck for a window, and a third bed if a grandchild is coming. Tell us early. On a ship with only four outside cabins, early is the whole game.
